Iran
Served in Peace Corps, teaching Iranian nationals skills in animal
health and livestock production. Distributed and demonstrated management
practices for seed wheat and seed potatoes, demonstrated grape propagation
techniques and trained villagers in range management.
In 1972-1994 involved in the start up, design and supervision of a livestock
project, construction of a feedlot, cattle and sheep handling facilities,
purchased sheep flock and imported cattle from US. Administered
marketing, cropping, land development, and trained and supervised
staff.
Nepal
Trained eight Agricultural officers, from Nepal, in an Agricultural
Marketing Study Tour, a USAID project, which took place in Bangladesh,
Thailand and Philippines in October/November, 1998.
Trained seven Agricultural officers, from Nepal, in an Agricultural Marketing Study Tour, a USAID project, which took place in India and Thailand in July/August, 2000. The study tour provided the participants with a sound knowledge and understanding of technical agricultural practices and policies, retail & wholesale marketing mechanisms and approaches in the countries included in the tour.
